JIB DA HOUSE

Last week on Friday I packed my car with my railskis and started up to Innsbruck to pick up my friends and then we went straight to Kaprun! On saturday we went up to the Kitzsteinhornglacier to have a little warm-up session with Fabbro Matthias, Roy Kittler, Martin Premstaller, Neo and all the other guys.  It was pretty funny up there. The park is really nice for jibbing and stuff!
Tobi, Neo, me! Fabbro & Martin where a little camera shy
preparing!

Unfortunately we had to go down pretty early for the riders meeting down in the village and a couple of hours later after cutting off the little sketchy flat part of the rail we were finally ready to start the Jamsession! Tjeeeeeeeeeeeee

 checking out the rail
my toes are still hurting of the rifflpipe :-D

Quali results:
1st Markus Eder
2nd Roy Kittler
3rd Luggi Brucic
4th Flo Geyer
5th Raphi Schweiger
6th Pepe Kalensky
7th Sebi Geiger
8th Christoph Söllner

The level was pretty high. Roy showed a switch 270 on prezl 450 off, Sebi did sick switchups without jumping and Tobias Vinatzer surprised me the most! He did not qualify but he did awesome lipslide 270 in and other sick tricks like 450 and rightside 270 in on! And everyone killed it with 270 in prezl 2 out.

Thanks a lot to Hias! He's the man!
 me doing 270 on
Roy setting the spin for prezling a 450 out

After struggling with Christoph Söllner in the quarterfinals and Flo Geyer in the semifinals I ended up in the final against Roy “the rail monster” Kittler! I tried butter 270 on prezl 270 off but it didn’t work out and Roy kicked me out with a switch 270 on blindside 270 out.

1st Roy Kittler
2nd Markus Eder
3rd Flo Geyer
4th Luggi Brucic

3th Flo Geyer      1st Roy Kittler      and me on the second place

I definitely had a great time and the aftershowparty was the banger!
Right now I’m here in Norway for the Sweet Rumble. And the Post is coming soon!!!!

Budapest Fridge

Last Wednesday i started right after work up to Budapest and after 800km and almost 12 hours drive (including some stops and sleep :) I finally got there!

after a couple of hours of sleep
sky's burning
awesome buildings everywhere at Budapest
powerlunch before starting the Qualli

The jump was actually pretty big for a In-City Big Air and the speed was good too. At the training day we had some problems with the compression in the landing. No way to land switch and if somebody landed a little backseat there was no way to make the compression without crashing. I hit the fens two times pretty hard. Fortunately they where padded a lot!

But at the second day the shapers made more snow so they smoothed out the transition and everything was perfect and the Qualli was on! I screwed up and lost the grab at my first run but the second one was good and I qualified ninth with a switch bio 9 truckdriver. My team & roommate Mr. Unlucky Klaus Finne stomped almost every dub cork 12 at the training and crashed two times at the Qualli... Russ Henshaw did dope switch dub 9s and Niklas Ericson's flat 10 was stomped as f***.

shaping it perfect before the finals start

After a long night and a little rain a lot of snow was gone... Before the Training started, all riders where shoveling snow in the landing and the shapers went to the icehall to get busses of snow. And at the end it was good enough for doing two practice jumps and two final jumps. I did switch dub 10 at my first run but it was pretty unstylish and sketchy so I decided to do switch bio 10 blunt and got 6th! Super stoked on that!

1) Elias Ambuhl (dub10 Mute-nose over tweaked, BIG!!!!)
2) Pk Hunder (Dub Cork 10 Mute Nose Poke Massive!)
3) JF Houle (Dub 12 Tail BIG!)
4) Russ Henshaw (Switch dub 9 mute)
5) Jacob Wester (Dub 10 mute)
6) Markus Eder (Switch Bio 10 tail)
7) Niklas Erikson (Dub cork 10 mute)
8) Jon Olsson (Dub cork 10 safety)
9) Paddy Graham (Dub 10 mute)
10) Antti Ollila (Dub Cork 10)

And the Finals where awesome! After a biiig crash on his first run, PK stomped a huge dub cork 10 stiffy mute. And Elias topped it with an overtweaked dub 10 bottom landing. JF had the chance to win with his dub 12 blunt but unfortunately he crashed in the transition so he got 3th.

Here's Jakob Westers Video of the Finals:

Budapest is awesome and I hope that I can come back next Year! TJEEEEEEEAH

Skipass 2010

Friday the 29 of October we packed our Stuff once again and went down to Modena! finally!

Stefan Schenk, Bacher Andreas, Christof Schenk and me packing the car!

on the road!

Friday Night the Best Trick Comp was going on! Jump was pretty nice but at the beginning we had to fight a bit with the compressure in the landing. After the warm up runs i knew that it's gonna be a tough comp... Christof Schenk was close to land a dub misty 12 and Klaus Finne did awsome dub cork 12s. I landed a switch bio 10 Tail but unfortunatly it wasn't enough to beat Mc Rae's winning switch dub 10 mute.

waiting with Christof Schenk and Fabbro Matthias at the riders lounge

waxing

Right after the Snowboard Comp on sunnday it started to rain and on monday a lot of snow in the landing was gone... But the Shapecrew worked like Animals to get everything ready...
After a grat contest session and sketchy conditions i ended up 2nd between the spanish guys with a switch bio 9 blunt. Luca Melloni won with a stylish rightside 9 and Pako got 3th with his 1080 reverse mute.

me doing flat 5

3th Pako Pengerel / 1st Luka Melloni / Raffaele Cusini (Best Trick) / and me

Modena is sick and i definitely gonna come back next year :-)
The next blog is gonna be about the Monster Fridge Comp at Budapest. So check it out!

cheers Markus
